The video-sharing platform started notifying users via e-mail about the changed policy, commencing from December 10.
There is a negative buzz around the content creator community, wherein Google-owned YouTube has taken the power to close the account that is not active or not generating revenue commercially.
The video-sharing site started sending out e-mails two weeks back, notifying users about the upcoming amendment in the terms & conditions.
The statement reads, “YouTube may terminate your access, or your Google account’s access to all or part of the Service if YouTube believes, in its sole discretion, that provision of the Service to you is not any longer commercially viable,” further it states, “We will notify you with the reason for termination or suspension by YouTube”.
With YouTube’s latest update, if the site is not making a profit off of your channel, it most probably will shut the access partially or completely. This is the time when content creators and marketers will have to up their game. This decision will affect everyone, now *likes* *comments* *subscriptions* *notifications* is of highest importance.
