Short Videos app TikTok is calling for internet safety with ‘Mera Internet’. This feature encourages users to create short videos on internet safety.
The in-app safety campaign #MeraInternet launched by TikTok is now used to celebrate Safer Internet Day (SID) 2020. Safer Internet Day is a landmark event worldwide and is celebrated in approximately 140 countries. TikTok today announced several in-app initiatives to promote a responsible and safe in-app ecosystem. In a bid, Tik Tok has urged users to create short videos on internet safety and take a pledge to do their bit.
TikTok is running an in-app hashtag challenge called #MeraInternet, it invites users to share their respective ideas on how can they be a responsible netizen and do their bit to contribute in a positive online environment. Video sharing app has also launched an in-app quiz to equip users with online safety tips, where the quiz highlights topics like how one should not be sharing their account details, phishing awareness, as well as the best practices of utilizing TikTok safety settings. This will help users to take control of their online presence and wellness.
TikTok has associated with NASSCOM Foundation inviting users to take a pledge for a safer and happier online environment. In order to drive the conversation amongst industry leaders, TikTok has also partnered with FICCI to deliberate on ways in which Government academia and civil society can come together to achieve one common goal of ‘Better Internet’.Source:
